Our Services › Winterization (full shutdown and startup)

Winterization (full shutdown and startup)

$330.00

Before you take the plunge, please check out our blog post about Winterization here.

Winterization means giving your pool a well-deserved rest. We’ll:

  • Give it one last deep clean before winter nap time

  • Drain the pump and pipework (but leave the pool water in place)

  • Power down and pack away your equipment

  • Add protective chemicals to stop mold, bacteria, and fungi from turning your pool into a science experiment

Because these chemicals are strong stuff, you’ll need a proper safety cover to prevent any accidental access. When the weather warms up, we’ll come out to wake your pool up: deep clean, chemical rebalance, equipment service, the works.

🧊Important note:  interization only works if outdoor temps stay consistently below 65°F—so in Florida, it’s usually a December–February thing. Mother Nature chooses; not you, hun. Please bear in mind that it is often cheaper NOT to winterize your pool. Our blog post has more.

Pros:

✅ Zero worries all winter
✅ Lower energy use

Cons:

⚠️ It’s weather-dependent
⚠️ Can be pricey if you’re only closing for a couple of months

Costs:

  • Initial winterization treatment (2 hrs): $180

  • Reopening treatment (2 hrs + follow-up 1 hr): $200

  • Pre-pay for both together: $330 total
